The grass on the greener side

 The rain had just stopped after a whole day of continuous downpour making everything so green and refreshed amidst the humid weather of August .The pearl like water droplets from the wet drenched tress in the garden of her house fell from the leaves on her cheeks and she was feeling so nice and happy .The sun began to peep through the dark clouds to play hide and seek with Survi and it brought a big closeup smile on her face. It came out and again hid away in the clouds, making the moment so special for her. She always loved the after effects of rain that brought an immense happiness to her own self. The wet weather always made her remember Sourav in those days when he was away from her. But now Sourav is even more far away from her. He is there with her but still away from her..

She was pouring her favorite hot and super strong coffee to her favorite mug that Sourav had bought for her on her 18th birthday when he met her after the board exams and he gave her all the gifts that he bought every year on her birthday . She thought to herself how drastically life has changed  over the  span of time. 

Survi got more prosperous and successful over these years. Sourav had owned many companies and is  big business man now. Everything sailed smooth but there was still some thing that was missing in life

Even though Sourav's love for Survi remained the same always. He loved and cared for her the same way he did before.

Today it was her 32nd birthday and she knew  that this year when Sourav is in her life , some thing special would definitely happen on her big day.

She found her belief to be true. On the morning of her birthday as she opened her home's main door to collect the newspaper, there was a red rose shower on her with a letter which said "lets have a cup of tea in my office room" . She had her very own special office room in her house. She ran there and found a big bouquet of pink roses on her desk with a cup of her favorite masala tea. It had another envelope which read" open the  last drawer of your computer table". Survi opened that and saw a parker pen wrapped up with a greetings card .When she opened the card it and it read "lets have our breakfast in your lawn".. Everywhere she touched in the house said "Happy Birthday", even the cushions of the sofa said so. She ran through the back door towards the lawn and saw a perfectly arranged breakfast table with all her favorite food arranged like a five star hotel. She found it very silly but romantic too and she rubbed her eyes twice to check if she was day dreaming on her birthday.

Survi could not believe her eyes that she could see Sourav sitting on a chair waiting for her to join the breakfast. She could never believe it at all  to be true and pinched herself. She found herself in the reality, sitting next to him . He took her hand into his and said "I could had never love you this way if you had not trusted my love for you and waited for me in spite of all odds you had to go through for me". Tears rolled down her cheeks and he wiped the pearls off gently touching her for the first time in those 29years since  he had seen her. Everything seemed to stop there at once at that very special moment.

 Survi felt like nothing could be more important than this ,she got the biggest gift that she always  wanted today. She wanted to hug him there but  she felt shy . They both held each other's hand and laid down on the soft grass of the lawn under the clear beautiful blue sky to see their love growing to be more promising and loving each day.

Sourav made the day more memorable by taking her to the most beautiful place in the city that she had never seen in all these years when she had stayed in the city. They did shopping together ,dined out.  They both had a lovely day spent together with each other holding hands and loving each other more than they did a moment ago.

Sourav often visits Survi  at her house after the office and they would spent hours together with each other falling in love again and again. They slowly began to grow more closer to each other and realized that they never went away from each other  for even a second.

 They finally decided to tell their families about their relationship and get married .They said the same to their respective families . Survi's parents were good to accept Sourav but there arose a problem, Sourav's family was not ready to accept Survi as she belonged to other caste .Sourav was a Bihari boy and Survi was Marwari girl.

Sourav explained everything in details to Survi .He did not want to loose Survi again for some misbeliefs of his family, neither did he want to hurt his parents. So he finally decided and promised her that he will never get marry someone else other than Survi but she was free to  marry anyone  if she wanted to. 

Survi tore into pieces on hearing those harsh words from Sourav. But she was stubborn and  promised him that she will remain unmarried for rest of her life until Sourav owns her.

Hours turned into days to weeks and months and years passed by like a blink of an eye.

They both were in their 40s now. Neither of them had their parents alive  now. There was no one to stop them from getting married but there grew a hesitation in this regard  now. Their social status, their friends circle, everything they were associated with seemed to like question them if they decided to get married at this age...
They both felt it to be a bit strange but it existed in their lives.

The Solitude

 

Life is just life, there is no exact definition to it. 

It is not always what we think we can make it work in our way with, it makes things fall in place in its own way.

It was the normal day in the office hours when Survi was busy , working on a very important presentation, her manager, Mr Sinha , called her into his cabin for some urgent work. She left her presentation halfway and headed to his cabin. She found Sourav sitting on the visitor's chair opposite to her manager. She was shocked to see him there, she never expected to see him in her office,not at least like this . She pretended  not to notice him. Mr. Sinha introduced Survi to Sourav there as he came as their new vendor. Survi will be heading the team to assist Sourav in their new venture. Survi got overwhelmed to hear that and was happy from inside but she controlled her expressions being reflected on her face.

Some days passed just like that. Survi was passionately working on Sourav's project with her team, busy trying to make things turn good through her end until that day when something strange happened.

It was a rainy evening when Survi was about to start from her office in her daily office hours and it began raining. She had to wait back as she did not have her umbrella with her. Coincidentally Sourav had come to their office that day due to some work and was there that time . She was about to share the ride with Raghav , her colleague as well as close friend in office,when she noticed Sourav watching her. She did not notice Sourav and sat in Raghav's car when Sourav called her out, she turned back to reply but Raghav had already started the engine. She could not wait back and had to go home with Raghav. She stopped Raghav's car midway and headed back to Sourav.

Sourav welcomed her in his car and drove her home. On the way he told her all about his feelings for her all these years and even expressed how sad he felt when he saw Survi getting into someone else's car.

He wanted to marry Survi , he even told her that, Survi was in dilemma now as she does not know what to do. She accepted every word of him with a smile, without knowing on how to reply him back.She felt like she woke up to her dream come true. With loads of thoughts running across her mind she got off Sourav's car. He expected at least some reply from Survi, but in vain, she seemed lost in her thoughts like the school days.

 All night she kept thinking of him again and again, recalled her weak moments for him but shut herself tight all in herself all over again. Nothing was there in her mind she felt just a blank space in herself. She could not believe why he wanted to marry her now when she is already forty. She had waited for him  for so long all these years when she was young , beautiful. She knew she had nothing to give him, her charm was lost, she lost her face glory. She has started to turn old now but she could not co-relate his decision to something normal. She did not when she felt asleep thinking of all these all night.She woke up the next day on hers scheduled time and rushed to office.

Now, when Survi arrived at office she found her table was decorated with her favorite flowers all over. She did not react instead carefully asked the office helper to clean her desk. She knew it was Sourav who did it but remained calm and started working .She looked casual in her work . During lunch break her colleague Swati reminded her of the office party for the profit earned that year in a pub. Survi asked Swati to pick her up when she starts for the party. In evening when they arrived at the party, Survi found Sourav there which was unexpected as he never loved loud noises. But he was present in real there, Survi pinched herself to check if she was dreaming of Sourav there,but no!! He was present there,enjoying the party. 

He just looking around when suddenly his eyes fell into her  those beautiful eyes  and she too could not resist walking away from his stare. They were trying to feel each other from far without even their shadows to realize about their love. Survi was still the most beautiful woman for Sourav. Her  deep,black eyes made him rest inside them forever. She looked beautiful  like always as he saw her in school  days.That same innocent smile of her makes him melt in her arms  . They both felt themselves chained in the chains of a magical spell that put them together for always  Whenever they look at each other's eyes their love  never seem to get quenched as if they are separated for hundreds of years.They felt themselves incomplete without each other, still there was something pulling them back.  Survi tried to held herself back when Swati called her out to start for home. Sourav also came out of their love spell and headed back home bidding goodbye to everyone out there. Both went home, waiting for a new day to begin, for things to fall in place all by themselves

Silence ..The Golden Retriever Part II

Life seemed to run the way it has to move on so did Survi.
She moved on . He was there in her every breath but not in her life in real.
Her parents took her back to home,she visited them every six months, called them almost everyday .
Her mom senses something strange in her voice but she never asked Survi about it.
It was during the time of Diwali, 2012 she came home to spend the time with her family.
Her parents were very happy to see their one and only daughter come home on a festive season. Everything was so perfect that she felt something all in herself .As if something is going to happen, her inner self was knocking on her every passing day. But everything seemed alright .Then just a day before she could go back to Noida he came to visit her and things changed in her life.
Now when he came to see her they had nothing to talk  ,neither they had words then nor speech helped them this time.Just a casual chat was all that took place in between them that day.
None spoke anything about their feelings for eachother and the words were left unsaid and unheard by both of them.

She is broken now into pieces that has kept her strong all these years.She questions herself now.What was it actually.She thought it to be her life but his visit changed everything around her .She had so many things to tell him all these years and she couldnot tell them again.
She wanted to hold him tight and never let him go But he didnot look at her properly that he could read these in her eyes.
She wanted to tell him how much she loved him from that day when she was a small girl of five years she first saw him in the school playground when she fell down and he came forward to help her get up.She wanted him to hold her hand forever and promise to never leave her again.
She wanted to tell him that how much she loved to see  those cute dimples on his cheeks whenever he smiled.Instead she just watched him smile and prayed for those smiles to be there on his face forever.
She wanted to tell him that she always wanted to hug him tight whenever he scored the most in exams and congratulate him for his hardwork.
Every moment she lived, she breathed ,she thought about him, she sang to herself for him..there were so many things left to be said .
She wanted to tell him everything she never told him but his silence kept her in silence again.
He left again leaving everything as it was before.But this time they shared each others contact numbers to be in touch.
Now who will be the first one to give a call!!

The annual day fest

It was the last year of school when all of them were
 sad that they were going to miss their school so much. Both of them were sad because they would never see eachother again like always. They wanted to enjoy every last bit of everything.
Everyone was excited about the annual day event. The last year of their participation in the school fest. Unlike every year this year also she participated in many activities including an English drama she loved to play act into.
She loved dancing classical and always participated in the annual day dance competition.
Whenever in between classes she was called by her dance teacher to practice her dance for the big day he got restless for the period bell to ring so that he can watch her dancing that would make her face  glow with so much of grace and peace.
He was always caught  by her while she was acting in the play.
But she always missed him on the annual day. He never came to attend the school fest. But this year it was different for both of them.
He wanted to come but he had no option to come as the fest was held always on weekends and his bus never ran on weekends. He somehow managed to come with his elder brother this time for the first and last time to see her at the fest.
She never knew that he would come that day to the fest and so like always got herself engaged into some or other activities that kept her preoccupied. But when she saw him in the backstage just before her dance performance she was overjoyed . Somehow she managed to keep her happiness to herself and got up to the stage. She danced that day with her heart and it was a success like every year but it was special to her this year.
Every performance was a great one . They both even enjoyed the fest with their friends this last year of their school .
That day was the last day before the winter holidays began, he  came to see her bright smile and those beautiful eyes that kept him see her again and again with love always. She just wanted to see him just the way she sees him with all her heart and captures his face inside her soul  to see him again and again whenever she wants to. They just wanted to be there completely with each other without letting anyone know. But they were caught up by their classmates but no-one revealed anything infront of anyone so that they don't get embarrassed for this . Their friends wanted them to be together for ever so didn't want to break their silence. They always gave them chances of being there for each other. That's called a true friendship . But they all had to get seperated now.
Soon after the school reopens they were having their preboard exams , so there was no more time left for romance now.
They both had to do and give their best .
They both silently waved goodbye to eachother and went home with a promise to themselves to be there for eachother no matter where they are.

Twisted and turned were their fates

It was a cold morning 🌞of March when it was her intermediate exam. She got ready and headed to her examination centre which was quite far from her home when they met for a flash of a second.
She entered her intermediate exam hall and saw him sitting in the same room
She quickly took off her eyes from him and sat on her assigned seats.
Her heart was beating so fast that she could hardly breathe for few seconds, but she comforted herself and looked back to check if she was dreaming. But No!! She wasnt....
It was him only.
She gave her exam being very happy . Her papers went very well . After she was done she came out of her Hall to check if he was around but he wasn't there.
That day was very lucky for her .
She found happiness in everything she saw or touched
She didn't meet him again in last couple of years.
She accidentally met him after many years when everything in her life has come to a standstill after he left .
Even after that meet up they both were busy in their own lives , trying to lead a normal life but who knew life would again take a re-examination.
She moved out of the country for her job and in next five years she didn't return back.
The story doesn't end here...it began to take a twist.
She was proposed by her colleague.
He proposed her in such a way that she couldn't say no, unwillingly she had to tie knots with him.
She left her job to take care of her new home and family in foreign land with no one to guide her to get started to her new phase of life.
Her parents had  already taken their hands off her since they thought after her marriage she wasn't their responsibility anymore. Every responsibility is of her in-laws . They wanted to be free of everything now . She got very depressed at these words of her parents. She used to think her parents loved her more than anything else in the world but she was proved wrong by them. Her parents hardly gave her a call to check on her. But still she never lost hope on them. She visited them every year and greeted them on every festival from abroad but they never showed any interest in her life.

Time started to pass like wind , in a blink of an eye seven long years passed.
During her delivery her parents didn't turn out to see her . Instead they wanted her to visit their house after her delivery. .
She was mother of two cute twinbaby girls. All day those two beautiful souls kept her preoccupied that she had no time left to even think about anything now. Even her husband lost interest in her since she was a housewife now. He thought she spent the whole day at home enjoying every bit of home. But she never tried to explain anything to him since she knew it was she who agreed to his words and got married to him. She had no other way to love her life. Her parents weren't going to take care of her if he left her so she got silent.  But she did try to step out of all these things and start her life once again from where she got into this life but her husband did never objected. He supported her but she had to step back thinking about her girls. She got sad day by day with no one to share herself with.
The girl who used to smile on even the least funny thing aloud got depressed, saddened and most importantly became just quiet to every call . She had shut herself into her own  .
She understood that no one is going to understand her feelings or what she wants. So it's better to be quiet. She was kind to everyone, tried to make everyone in the house happy by fulfilling even their smallest wish but who was happy for her ..no one ..had even a minute to talk to her and check if she was fine . She was the best mom for her daughters. They never had anything against her but she had brought them up in such a way that they both never took any step without their mom's permission. They respected her to that level. They understood what pain did their mother got into it they knew she would never take their help for this thing.
Those two girls grew up to beautiful, intelligent and smart ladies.
 All these things happened to her but where was he..her soulmate...he vanished from her life just like magic..she never met him again ...not even once but he was breathing somewhere.. not everyone is selfish. Some are forced to become selfish for the sake of others. When taking a breathe reminds you of that person...then think how much painful is it breathe every moment without that person in your life..that was her life...his life...it was actually their life.

The mind changer

Today she woke up with the sun shining bright  amidst the trees on her face again back to her own world where there is no time to look back at her past.Years have passed and things have changed so much today that her job is the most important thing she could think off as of today.
She is successful at a very young age, she owned her own house in the heart of the city.
 It is her day off, she finished her morning chores, got her tea in her favorite transparent glass mug and sat by the window turning the local magazine. She had a very unique hobby of sewing .She sews many stuffs all the year round and she loved doing it from childhood.Her mom taught her this sewing Every woman in her family were good at it so her mom wanted her to learn it .
Survi is a quiet natured girl who loved to be busy with her own self doing multiple things to keep herself occupied.She loved reading book, cooking something new everyday.
Infact she is a great cook .She even loves singing on her own tune,sometimes she enjoys coloring like small kids do.
Afterall she is a simple middleclass girl who knew how to adjust in any situation thrown into.
Now when she is living her own life on her own values she doesnot care about what others talk about her.She firmly believes in herself .
When years ago he didnot turn back to her she understood it wasn't meant for her.
She waited for him for so many years for him but he didnot turn back to check on her.Her parents forced her so much about getting married but she always had a dream of running her own advertising agency and she finally completed her dream going against all odds.Her family turned their faces too and she is alone all by herself in such a big city of Noida.
It was not that he was fake but she never knew why he didn't come back when in their school days they were deeply in love with eachother that they silently had decided their future together.
In her loneliness she misses him a lot but she has no way to go back or find him.She lost him forever only if some miracle could bring them together again is what she thinks now .
But miracles donot happen just like that.
Her life runs on the hope that someday she will be answered and has to be answerable too.

Silence is golden retriever Part I

It was a lazy day when she was lying on her bed and reading her favorite book, she heard a knock on the door and she went to answer.
She saw him, through the eyehole standing with  a bouquet of flowers in his hand..she got scared but she decided to open the door for him.
He came inside with her invite but remained quiet for minutes. Suddenly she broke the silence with the tinkling sound of her bangles.
He asked for a glass of water..she went inside to get it.
After she came back they exchanged their hands , a glass of water with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
They both sat back and looked at each other as if they were lost in themselves forever and ever.
They lost in themselves remembered their school days where no one spoke to each other. They just looked at each other and eyes did the rest of their jobs. Everything was so good then but now things , place, and every other thing changed for them.
They could find themselves amongst each other completely unaware of the surrounding. All of a sudden, she removed her hands from his and he too found himself back . Both of them behaved as if they are strangers now. She tried to say so many things to him then but it seemed like someone tied her tongue.
They both knew each other since childhood when they both were in their same nursery school from the very first day they became good friends but they never spoke to each other like normal friends do.
Everything seemed like magic to her but he felt as if she  was there for him for ever and ever.
Things started to turn around when they started to grow up and realize what exactly was happening.
Now she had no one to talk or share her feelings with..none in her family that could give her a pretty good reason to step back. She kept all her feelings inside her without being expressive.
She noticed his change but she didn't change.
Last day of school and he didn't utter a single word before they departed that tore her into pieces but still she was quiet. She lived all alone in herself deserted without him.
Years ago also she never said him a word and today too she had no words to express her heart to him .
He made up his own world with his hard work in all these years that he didnot know anything about her.Now he came back to her forever but she knew nothing about it.They were silent ,none spoke their hearts out.
He silently looked up at her big beautiful black eyes that were lined up with that beautiful black kajal that always kept him lost in her, with love and tears but he too couldn't dare to speak a word to her.
